Call for Abstracts. Abstract submission is NOW OPEN for SCONA 2019 CHICAGO

The SCONA 2019 Committee welcomes abstracts for both oral and poster presentations. The presentation of scientific papers at this meeting will provide an unprecedented opportunity for interaction and discussion with a highly informed and focussed audience. Please read the guidelines below before preparing and submitting your abstract

Abstract Submission Rules

  • Abstracts must be submitted via this website or emailed to abstracts@scona.org
  • The submitting author does not have to be the presenting author.
    Authors may submit for oral or poster presentation, or submit both formats for the committee to choose.
  • All abstracts will be reviewed by The Committee and successful applicants will be chosen based on originality and clinical applicability of the work. Notifications regarding acceptance status will be sent by 22 March 2019.
  • The presenting author must attend the Conference as a registered participant in order to present their abstract.
  • The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat.
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you require help, please arrange for the review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university scientific publications office (or other similar facility) or by a copy editor, prior to submission.
  • Abstracts must be structured (aims/methods/results/conclusion) and limited to 250 words excluding the title and authors’ names.

Presentation type (please choose from one of the following):​

  • ​​Oral presentation ONLY
  • Oral or poster presentation
  • ​​​Poster Presentation ONLY

Author and co-authors’ details (maximum of 5 authors):

  • ​Full first and family name(s)
  • ​Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country
  • Abstract title: ​Limited to 25 words in UPPER CASE​
  • Abstract text: Limited to 250 words (Note: word count is affected when graphs/tables/images are added

DECLARATION OF CONSENT TO PUBLICATION IN PROGRAMME

I confirm that I previewed this abstract and that all information is correct. I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published exactly as submitted.

Submission of the abstract constitutes my consent to publication (e.g. Conference website, programmes, other promotions, etc.)

The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that I am the sole owner or have the rights of all the information and content (“Content”) provided to SCONA 2018 and The Organisers. The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third party rights including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights.

The Abstract Submitter grants the Organisers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content. The Organisers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract which does not comply with the above.
